Silimor is a Silicate solution based Chemical Resistant Mortar. Silicate is Sodium Silicate Based cement. Silicate is resistant to wide varieties of acid conditions and shall endure temperatures up to 650º C prevailing in chemical plants Industries.
Silmor is used for jointing Acid Resisting brick in construction of vessels in suited for construction of fume chambers and stacks handling hot, dry Acid fumes and vapors.
Silmor is recommended for chemical plants, Dye intermediates, Steel Industries, Textiles units, Storage Battery Manufacturer, Oil Refinery, Petrochemicals, Fertilizers etc. where acids (except Hydrofluoric Acid) such as chronic, Nitric, Hydrochloric Acid, Phosphoric, Sulphuric Acids and dry acids --- and Chimney Lining Work.
Preparation of Chemical Resistant Mortars consists of Resin & Powder. The average mixing ratio necessary to obtain mortar with good working consistency is 1 Part Resin & 3 Part Powder (by weight) , 1 Part Resin & 3.15 Part(by Volume). Ratio will be depending on Temp, working condition & workman.
It is highly recommended where concentrated Sulphuric and Nitric Acids are used. It is most identical cement mortar for the Acid Proof and refractory brick lining work into the RCC CHIMNEYS & TOWERS since it has a unique nature of Acid and Heat Resistance. It may resist temperature up to 900°C.
